So After more investigation it appears that EA studio has updated there code to include news filter etc and the new MT5 code being generated does not work properly however mt4 is fine. For now i have gone back to older bots that i had before the new updates and they appear to be working fine on mt5. Something to be aware of for you guys Alan.
Hey Alan that is definitely not it, somehow the robots have updated to the new version. I notice on MT5 the robot isnt reversing trades properly to, it opens a long then leaves the long open and opens a short on the next signal. is anyone else having this problem?
Hey guys i didnt update the robots to V5.1. I did reload my V5 robots into EA Studio from my harddrive using the validator and once modified i have placed them onto MT4 and MT5. The interesting thing for me is these robots have still compiled with stats screens and the account protection inputs from V5.1. Is this because these settings are standard in EA studio now? or does the robot automatically update to newest file somehow?
Hey guys i am after a few opinions here, particularly from anyone has been algo trading for some time, do you believe it is better to move the stop loss? so far i have been waiting for clear structure on the 1 hr timeframe and moving my stoploss a few pips above or below the structure and I have been profitable 2 weeks in a row with v5 robot and my win loss is better then backtested results however i am concerned that i am basically running a different strategy to the backtest. How have you guys been managing your stops and or early closes?
Hey guys what is the correct way to increase lot size without messing with the reversing system in the bots? can i just increase lot size for a trade and a reversal and the bot will only trade the max size allocated size that is set? or is it best to open a new chart and place the bot on there with the increased size?
Thank you for your reply Petko, however i am still a little confused. The way i currently understand is if i have spread protection set to default at 30 points then the bot will not open or reverse trades if the spread is greater then 3 pips? Is that correct? Because the AUDNZD pair very rarely has a spread that low for me.
Hi guys i am confused about what level i should be keeping spread protection at, If i want to avoid news but allow my bots to reverse trades whenever needed is there a good level for ftmo servers?
Hey guys just a few questions about the chande momentum oscillator, is the chande working on the 1 min timeframe? and in mt5 is it just called the momentum indicator? as I am struggling to find chande momentum in the list of indicators and I would like to have them all on screen. Happy trading for the week ahead everyone!

Hi guys, the issue I am having now is that the EA is only aiming for SL and TP but i would like it to reverse or close its position when a opposite signal comes in. I cant see a option for this in the input list? Can you please explain how I achieve this? Thank you.
