You should put all of them on a demo to test them for awhile then take top 1-3 performers and try a challenge.

This is a brilliant idea. This will be the approach I take as well. Makes the most sense because even on an FTMO demo for example I’m almost certain it will be different when you actually take a challenge. Please keep us posted!

    Hi Alan,

I really like this approach to your challenge. I haven’t purchased the robots yet but plan to. My only concern is let’s say you’re testing on an Oanda MT4 demo for example and get your initial results after a few weeks. You then would take your top winners and place it on your prop firm challenge. I know for a fact your results would be very different, am I wrong?

So in this case for a prop firm that does not have a demo you could place all the robots on your challenge but set the risk very low, then after each week see if you have some clear winners and increase the lot size to equal 1% risk. Is this essentially what you’re doing?

Appreciate the fast response Alan. Yes, so far I have eliminated 2 losers from November strategies as they have reached 5 trades with loss. Of the 28 left I had 6 that were moved to demo 2 while still testing all 28 on demo 1 still. I also added the Dec strategies to Demo 1. I added Dec to the title so I can tell them apart and also changed the base magic number so I can track properly.

I also have to add that I’m taking the very top performers and adding them to a 2nd demo

I have a question about the +30 EA Strategies (3 Portfolio EA’s) Do I constantly replace all the portfolio EA’s each month or do I slowly eliminate the losers of the previous month by monitoring the results then add the new 3 portfolios to Demo 1 for monitoring in addition to the previous month(s) strategies? Thank you!!

From my understanding the FTMO robot does hedging? What about if I use MT4?

Are you trading all 8 at high lots?

I haven’t purchased the FTMO Bot yet but how about this approach?

Start off with all 8. Lower the lots accordingly. Divide 1% by 8.

Then monitor the performance. After you have a pair that has losses after 5 trades remove it.

Now let’s say you remove 2. Now adjust your lots to accommodate those removals.

This will let you stay low risk but instead of just using the top performers you slowly remove the losers just like what

is taught in the courses but on a smaller scale instead. Thoughts? Has anyone tried this?

I just started the free trial of EA Studio. I went through the course but for some reason just can’t seem to generate many strategies. I’m currently on EU M15, FTMO data.

    Thank you

Why not just use Hankotrade or LQDFx? No need to worry about FIFO

Great discussion here. Any more results? How are things going? I just discovered this site and I’m learning so much!
